Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut Homeownership Application Round OpensApplications are available starting November 1st for a home located in Willimantic, CT
Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut accepts applications for the Homeownership Program twice a year, typically in March and September. This special application round will be open from November 1st through November 15th, only. Our program provides an opportunity for local families to move from substandard housing into homeownership The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut will host the 12th Annual Military Appreciation Breakfast at Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa on May 5, 2023. The breakfast serves over 130 active-duty military servicepeople between branches of the Navy, Coast Guard, and National Guard, through the support of the program’s Presenting Sponsor General Dynamics Electric Boat and additional business supporters.
In addition to honoring the local military community, awards are presented to local businesses that Groton, CT – Chelsea Groton Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of 17 employees, including five members of the Bank’s senior leadership team, following a Board of Trustees meeting.
“Chelsea Groton Bank has been successful for over 160 years because of the hard-working team of people we have here,” said Michael Rauh, President and CEO of Chelsea Groton Bank. “Each of the employees earning a promotion is innovative, collaborative, trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable and versatile, and has shown Pfizer’s Groton Laboratories will support 67 programs in Southeastern Connecticut, the greater New Haven area, and southern Rhode Island through its 2017 competitive grants program.
Priority was given to programs that bring science and math to students from elementary through high school. Additional awards were made for programs that provide for the underserved or to support local civic and cultural institutions.

Pfizer Inc. has announced that 51 nonprofits in Connecticut and Rhode Island, including the Garde Arts Center and Project Oceanology, will receive funding support this year.
